i’m marilyn roos — a mom of four incredible children, a triathlete, an avid saints fan, a designer, and a passionate photographer.

photography has always been about connection for me. my greatest joy is capturing people as they truly are — relaxed, confident, and fully themselves in front of the camera. while anyone can take a snapshot, it takes a natural eye and an engaging photographer to create images that feel authentic and timeless. one of my superpowers is helping people feel comfortable in front of the lens, allowing their personality and energy to shine through.

i am based in greenwich, connecticut, martha’s vineyard, and new orleans. i work throughout the tri-state area, especially in westchester and fairfield counties, as well as nyc, the cape and islands and nola. i also travel for corporate work and destination weddings and special occasions. my work often takes me wherever my clients’ stories unfold, and i love the variety that comes with photographing in such beautiful and vibrant places.

in addition to portraits, mitzvahs, corporate work, i specialize in weddings of all kinds — from surprise proposals and intimate elopements to destination celebrations and multi-day wedding weekends. every couple and every event is different, and i enjoy tailoring the experience to fit exactly what my clients envision. whether I am documenting a quiet, emotional moment or the energy of a dance floor, my goal is always the same: to tell the story honestly and beautifully.
