Marilyn was AMAZING!!! As a professional photographer myself, I have incredibly high standards. Marilyn's attention to detail and ability to roll with changes throughout our wedding day was a true asset. Getting married during a pandemic and keeping guests and family and vendors safe is no small feat. Marilyn followed all of our protocols and creatively worked at a distance. She captured wonderful memories that we will cherish for a lifetime! We are so grateful that she was our photographer.

After two different photo shoots with 4 teenagers, 2 parents and a dog, I can easily recommend Marilyn as a fantastic photographer. Not only is she incredibly professional and timely with scheduling and returning the finished photos (prints and digitally), Marilyn is such a pleasure to work with. She sets up great shots, is so flexible and nimble in dealing with whatever rolls her way (wind, clouds, errant pet, etc.) has such a wonderful personality that everyone is happy to smile for her, and generally makes the experience such a pleasure. Family photos are made fun with Marilyn!

Marilyn is a wonderful photographer who has a way of making wedding photography fun instead of tedious! She was with us throughout a 3 day wedding event and had a subtle way of weaving her way around the crowd to capture genuine smiles and moments in addition to the classic photos we requested. She produced so many terrific pics we had trouble narrowing down the choices for our album. Marilyn establishes such a great rapport with the wedding party and guests that if she weren’t holding a big camera she’d be easily mistaken for one of the guests! I hired Marilyn for a commercial photography shoot for my executive and career coaching practice's website. From the get-go, she was focused (get the photography reference there) on understanding what I wanted to convey in the pictures that would reinforce my company's brand and image. Marilyn is by far the best and most accommodating photographer we have ever worked with. Her laid back yet professional attitude and work ethic make a photo session with her feel effortless and fun. There were many bright spots in our wedding, but meeting Marilyn was definitely one of the brightest. I know that sounds like an exaggeration but Marilyn Roos was a phenomenal photographer and individual. She was very responsive, affordable, and flexible. She was tremendously helpful in my decision-making as we juggled several choices with accommodation, catering, venue, without a planner. She quickly became our resource person for all things Martha’s Vineyard. Marilyn was very professional with our photography on the wedding day itself. She was prompt, and she accommodated all my family members’ requests, while making sure we got fantastic shots. She ensured we got the best scenery and backdrop in our chosen location, and she also helped choose additional lovely locations for more photos. Our photos came out beautiful, and in a very timely manner. For my destination wedding, Marilyn Roos Photography is a vendor that I’m immensely grateful for. If I had to do it all over, I’d choose her over and over again.
