i’m marilyn roos and i’m glad you’re visiting. i am a passionate photographer looking to capture your moments to archive them for a lifetime. i feel like one of my strengths is that i am a people person. i have been all my life. i want to get familiar with you so that i can convey your message through your images. i shoot all walks of life: babies, birthday parties, mitzvahs, sweet 16s, proms, senior portraits, graduations, engagements, weddings, anniversaries, maternity, boudoir, family. i do corporate photography and headshots and product shoots as well. my goal is to establish strong relationships with my clients so that i can be there to cover your photographic needs.

i have been featured and work for various publications: Greenwich Magazine, Stamford Magazine, Westport Magazine, At Home, Greenwich Neighbors, A Charleston Bride, Serendipity and more. i do a lot of non profit events and galas. i have photographed quite a few people of interest.

another strength is that i have a natural eye for capturing a moment. with all the technology of smart phones, many people fancy themselves as photographers. they are good at snapshots or they are prolific and eventually get a good shot. however, it is an inherent skill as an artist to truly be able to capture a moment. when i have the opportunity to photograph a subject in her natural element, i thrive. in many sessions, i work with the client to do the posed photography so that i captivate a special moment. however, when you are not aware that the lens is on you or when you are photographed doing something unusual, sometimes that yields the most beautiful images.
